lisp-mine contains libraries written by me..  This obviously has the
 latest versions (as well as earlier).  Within these directories the
 link alpha/ is a link to the latest development version of any
 library..  Thus, alpha@ may just be another link to 2.02alpha, the
 alpha link is just a help for my own load-path..

site-lisp contains downloaded packages.  These are actively used by
 me, and so will often be the latest versions (but then again, often
 not :-) ...  NB:bigfont's author has released a new version with
 prefixes called bigfont- ...  as such, i am therefore, not the
 'unofficial maintainer' of bigfont any more..

site-lisp-not contains more downloaded packages.. the only reason they
 are in a separate directory is that they are not (automatically) part
 of my load-path (yet).
